Using Pixie
How do I get into a locked app?
Tap Earn time on the lock screen (or open Pixie), choose how long, and pick a quest from your focus: reps, a walk, a verse or prayer, breathing, a quiz or puzzle, a few pages of a book, or a learning card. Finish it and you get 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Only time spent in your locked apps counts. When it’s used up, the lock comes back.
I need an app right now. Can I skip the quest?
Yes, with Quick Pass. You get 10 minutes, no quest, up to 3 times a day.
How do I restore Pixie Pro?
Open Pixie and tap Restore purchase, at the bottom of the Pixie Pro screen or in Settings. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Still nothing? Email us.
How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and pick Pixie. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends so you aren’t charged again. Pixie reminds you 2 days before your free trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Is Pixie on Android?
Not yet. Pixie for Android is coming soon.
Stopping Pixie
How do I stop Pixie blocking an app?
In Pixie, change which apps are locked. Removing an app from the list takes a 60-second wait. You can also turn Pixie's access off at the system level, below.
iPhone: how do I turn Pixie off completely?
Open Settings, then Screen Time, then Apps with Screen Time Access (wording varies by iOS version), pick Pixie and remove access. If you set a Screen Time passcode, you'll need it here. Then delete the app if you like.
Android: how do I turn Pixie off completely?
Open Settings, then Accessibility, find Pixie and turn it off (menus vary by phone brand). Then turn off Pixie in Usage access and Display over other apps under Special app access. Pixie will say protection is off. That's expected. You can uninstall Pixie at any time.
