Privacy
Short version: Pixie has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. What you lock, what you do in quests and what your camera sees stay on your phone. The only thing sent anywhere is your purchase.
What stays on your phone
- The apps you choose to lock. On iPhone these are Screen Time selections that Apple keeps as opaque tokens; Pixie never sees which apps they are. On Android, Pixie reads the name of the app on screen so it can show the lock before a locked app opens. It does not read what you type, your messages or anything inside other apps. Pixie also reads your list of installed apps so you can pick which to lock, and uses Usage access as a backup way to see which app is open. None of it leaves your phone.
- Camera frames for exercise quests. They are processed on your phone to count reps. They are never saved and never sent anywhere.
- Step counts for walk quests. They are counted on your phone and never sent.
- Your quest history and settings.
What is sent, and to whom
Only your purchase. Apple or Google handles the payment. Pixie also uses RevenueCat to confirm and restore your purchase. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt or token and purchase history, an anonymous random ID that its software creates on your phone (there is no login), and basic device and app information needed to process the purchase. This is not linked to your identity, because Pixie has no accounts. On Android, that anonymous ID is also backed up in your Google backup through Google Block Store, so a reinstall finds the same purchase. Purchase data is used only to process and restore your purchase.
What Pixie does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no email collection.
- No analytics of how you use Pixie, no crash-reporting service, no ads and no tracking.
- No selling or sharing of data.
Deleting your data
Pixie holds nothing about you on its own servers. To have the anonymous purchase record deleted from RevenueCat, email dev.thorremiendo@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days. Deleting the app removes what Pixie stores on your phone. On Android, the anonymous purchase ID stays in your Google backup so a reinstall can find your purchase.
Children
Pixie is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
